I know the perspective in this sucks, so there's no need to point that out. I spent hours and sheets of paper trying to figure out how to place RK in such a way that you could see his eyes, claws, and jets all at once. Maybe I should have gone with jets and claws, or eyes and claws, because eyes and jets ... ehhh.

Anyway, this pic involves a new coloring technique I picked up from looking at the fantastic art of ryanchurch.com. I'd love to buy his tutorial DVDs, but barring that (and my lack of free cash), I'll see what I can pick up from his pics and other tutorials around the net. You start as dark as you can go, and build up to the highlights, layer by layer. Rather tedious, but look at how nice it comes out!

This is a scene from my fic Worthless, when Shadow is running for his life and Robo Knux is hunting him. Except because of the perspective, it doesn't look like that. >.>

WOW! I'm loving the city in the distance. I also love the bottom of Shadow's shoes where the jets are coming out. They're just so sharp!

Wow indeed... brilliant use of that new colouring technique, it comes out really well. Gorgeous lighting and lineart. I think I'm gonna fav this. Great work!
