I've had this pic in my head for a long time, but just now got the chance to draw it. In my fanfics, Shadow's wristbands were a symbol of his slavery to Gerald and the ARK. They kept him from disobeying Gerald's command to destroy the world, and it was only after Shadow and Sonic went super that the bands lost their hold over Shadow. But now the time has come to destroy the world again--or save it. Shadow, ever conscious of the irony of his own life, finds new wristbands and wears them with grim pride.

I have a thing for deserts. I love painting them. This started out as an essay in Corel Painter, until I realized that I could do the exact same thing in Photoshop with half the memory. Fear the power of the brushes! I love their texture, and the rocks look rough. Here I thought my composition was good, then I realized that Shadow is in the exact center of the pic. *smacks forehead* Oh well, I'll learn someday ...
