An exchange with Drahcir. He wanted his character (the mithril dragon) battling Metal Overlord from Sonic Heroes. Ever up for a challenge, I agreed. The result is a bit more demonic-looking than I'd intended. Maybe it's the moon combined with the glowing eyes and bat wings. It's been a while since I did a real dragon, and it's fun doing all those burly muscles.

Edit: I added some green to Mecha's neck, because it looked rather flat to me. I also darkened Drahcir's right wing so the left wing would look like it was catching the moonlight. I also dodged and burned a few spots. Yay.

Your hand must be DEAD from the detail on this pic. x.x The teeth on both of those creatures are fantastic!! I love how uniform they are. And the spines on the tip of the drgon's tail really express its volume and movement so well! And not to mention the poses... :faint: :faint: :faint:

And you don't know how much your colouring is improving!! The finish on the dragon's wing is awesome~~~ and amazing job w the reflex lighting! AND THAT BG!! I LOVE the purple hues, they work so well!! :worship:

:omg: WOOT!!! A dragon! I love the textures you did and the details on the picture.
Can you give me a tip on how you did the grey shadings on the dragon, which look like clouds/scale likes? If you have time though. =)

This is simply amazing. I like the scenery and the action it has in it. Excellent job as always. :clap:
