Remember my Dinosaur Manifesto, where I said that I'd do pretty, atmospheric pics of dinosaurs to rival dragon pics? Well, here's another one. I noticed, while researching velociraptors, that they're always portrayed attacking, fighting, rushing at the viewer, etc. However, modern-day predators like lions and wolves are always portrayed in their more friendly moods--sleeping, hanging out with others of their kind, etc. I figure, hey, raptors weren't incredibly vicious ALL the time. Look at my brother's lizard. He spends 90% of his time basking and sleeping.

So here are a pair of raptors at dawn. Photoshop 6.0. I need Painter. >.>

Edit: Fixed those mountains that everyone has been complaining about. I walked outside this morning, and our mountains were doing exactly the right effect. So I copied those. Ph33r.

Although quite cute, I do believe a raptors tail could just not bend like that.

However, this is very pretty. I love these sunset pictures where the world turns to blue/purple.

And I love how they're so peaceful here. I have never seen modern day lizards strut about in constant search of their prey. They just sit.

Another beautiful piece, NR, as usual.

Absolutely stunning NR. There's really no other way to describe it. I feel like I'm looking at something that you'd only find in an informational book/magazine. The detail is astonishing, especially the plant life. I could swear I could reach out and just pluck that grass they're standing/sleeping on right off the screen. And the emotional calm that you get from it is really relaxing.

The improvements I've seen you make in the last couple years is a true testament of how much your skills have progressed since I first met you all those years ago. I must say I'm insanely jealous too. I wish I had even 5% of the talent you have for this kind of thing. Please keep them coming, both for your old fans and the new ones. :)
